More Activities March ’26

During March we celebrated St Davids Day, Mothers Day, St Patricks Day, and Comic Relief, all of these celebrations as well as personcentred birthdays were enjoyed by all of the residents.

We had many visitors during this month too. Hastings Beaver Scouts brought intergenerational fun, Dance Hastings always bring a joyful afternoon as well as DSES (dementia singing experience Sussex), Sarah from The Painted Ladies runs creative art sessions at all of our homes supporting the activities teams with art, craft and sensory sessions. Our local church visits us regularly conducting small group church services. The newest members of the Coast Care family came to visit our residents too. We welcomed some lovely musical entertainment including ‘Life Size’ who regularly volunteer their time to give some lovely gentle sessions.

Our bus trips continue to leave each home 2/3 times every week visiting many destinations including a wonderful collaboration with Mulberry West St Leonards Primary School supporting the children with their reading. We also took some residents to the Crooked Crown in Hastings who organised a colourful flower arranging afternoon.

A full schedule of in-home activities kept everyone engaged, including baking, games, pampering sessions, flower arranging, quizzes, armchair travel (featuring Greece this month), knitting club, music and dance, shopping trips, and personalised one-to-one sensory sessions.
