More activities June ’26

June brought continued warm, sunny weather, with residents making the most of it by enjoying ice creams, mocktails, paddling pools, sitting in shaded areas of the gardens, and visits to our local holiday home at Combe Haven. Due to the heat, regular bus trips were replaced with person-centred one-to-one outings, while al fresco lunches in the gardens proved especially popular.

Sarah from The Painted Ladies continued to support the activities teams with creative sessions in preparation for our summer parties. Residents and staff teams also celebrated Philippine Independence with food tasting and music and enjoyed an armchair trip to Italy, complete with homemade pizzas and interesting facts about the country. A patriotic afternoon tea was enjoyed celebrating King Charles birthday.

Our varied activities programme continued throughout the month, including quizzes, arts and crafts, puzzles, flower arranging, games, clay work, hairdressing and pamper sessions, library visits, gardening, exercise programmes, sensory activities, flower pressing, and creating butterfly stations.
