Whitecliff ‘Beside the Seaside’ Summer Party

On the 3rd of August, Whitecliff hosted its much-anticipated annual summer party, delighting residents, family, friends, and staff with the theme ‘Beside the Seaside.’ The weeks leading up to the event were filled with creativity and excitement as residents crafted vibrant, colourful decorations that brought the communal areas to life.

Fortunately, the weather just about cooperated, allowing everyone to enjoy the festivities in the garden. The space was filled with laughter, smiles, and a warm community spirit as people gathered to celebrate together. The day was made even more special with a performance by our regular entertainer, Jessica Wellard. Jessica’s beautiful singing resonated throughout the home, and she made sure to visit those who were unable to join the garden festivities, ensuring everyone had a chance to enjoy the music.

We were also thrilled to have Dementia Singing Experience Sussex join us once again. This remarkable organisation generously, voluntarily visits our homes regularly, providing interactive and heartwarming entertainment that our residents thoroughly enjoy.

The afternoon also featured a raffle in support of the Alzheimer’s Association, offering an array of fantastic prizes kindly donated by local businesses. The generosity of our community shone through, helping to support a cause close to many of our hearts.

A special highlight of the day was one resident who had the joy of celebrating her birthday with her family during the party. It was a truly memorable occasion, adding another layer of happiness to an already wonderful event.
