Whitebeach ‘Aloha’ Summer Party

On Saturday, August 10th, Whitebeach transformed its large, beautiful garden into a vibrant Hawaiian tropical paradise for the much-anticipated annual summer party. With the theme ‘Aloha,’ the garden was adorned with colourful decorations that residents had lovingly crafted in the weeks leading up to the event, bringing a lively and festive atmosphere to the communal areas.
The sun shone brightly all afternoon, creating the perfect setting for a joyful celebration. Residents, families, friends, and staff gathered in the garden, filling the air with laughter, smiles, and a warm sense of community. Our regular entertainer, Jessica Wellard, once again captivated everyone with a fantastic live performance that had everyone tapping their feet and singing along.
We were also delighted to welcome Dementia Singing Experience Sussex back to Whitebeach. This wonderful organisation, which generously and voluntarily visits our home regularly, provided interactive and heartwarming entertainment that our residents always look forward to.
The afternoon also featured a special raffle, skillfully run by our resident George, in support of the Alzheimer’s Association. Thanks to the generosity of local businesses, we had an array of fantastic prizes, and the community’s support shone through, helping to raise funds for a cause close to many of our hearts.
Overall, it was a fantastic afternoon filled with color, music, and dance. The ‘Aloha’ spirit was truly alive at Whitebeach, making it a day to remember.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who contributed to making this day so special. Your involvement and support are what make these events so meaningful for our residents.
