More Activities October ’24

October has been another fun and engaging month across our homes, filled with meaningful activities and special moments for our residents.
We are fortunate to collaborate with talented visitors like Sarah from The Painted Ladies, who inspires creativity with her art and craft sessions, and Glow Baby, whose intergenerational mother and toddler groups bring joy to all generations. Interactive music and dance sessions with DSES (Dementia Singing East Sussex) and a visit from a local choir added energy and music to our homes, with the choir’s performance being a particular highlight.
Our residents enjoyed bus trips into the community, exploring garden centres, Hastings Aquarium, local parks, and cafes—opportunities to connect with the wider community. Themed days brought variety and purpose to our month, including raising awareness for Breast Cancer Awareness with pink-themed outfits and baking, and armchair travel experiences to Alaska and Germany.
Everyday activities like flower arranging, model making, quizzes, and music and dance, parachute games, floor games, bingo, arts and crafts, helping with chores, reminiscing and live entertainment continue to enrich our residents’ lives, offering opportunities to engage, connect, and enjoy. With activity schedules displayed in each home, families and friends can share in our commitment to ensuring our residents have fulfilling, happy days.
