More Activities May ’24

Residents visit the pier for a day out

In May, our residents enjoyed a diverse array of activities. We were delighted to welcome Sarah from ‘The Painted Ladies,’ who collaborated with our activities team to create beautiful artworks displayed throughout our homes. Additionally, Whitecliff hosted a popular visit from ‘Glow Baby,’ an intergenerational meeting that brought joy and smiles to both young and older participants.

Our comprehensive monthly activity planner included a variety of regular activities such as baking, word games, gardening, exercise therapy, bingo, garden games, afternoon tea in the garden, flower arranging, parachute games, music therapy, pampering, and pet therapy.

Residents also had the opportunity to visit the Dog and Horse show in Bexhill and the local library for a folk storytelling session. We hosted a drumming therapy session, a delightful macaroon tasting afternoon, and a fun ‘mocktail’ session.

Imogen, a member of our activities team, completed a ‘mile a day through May’ in support of Dementia UK. She walked in all weathers and successfully raised an impressive £453.00!
