More Activities July ’24

July has been an incredibly lively month for our community, with a variety of summer parties taking place at both Whitebriars and the Coast Care Centre. Our residents took part in art and craft sessions, creating themed decorations that brightened up our communal areas with a burst of colour. We also came together to watch and celebrate the Olympics in Paris, both residents and staff enjoyed the competitive sporting events.
We were fortunate to have visits from several outside groups, including Glow Baby, Dementia Singing Experience Sussex, The Painted Ladies, and our local church. These sessions were greatly appreciated, as they provided meaningful and beneficial experiences for our residents.
In line with our commitment to personalised care, we continued with our ‘Resident of the Day’ program. This initiative ensures that each resident receives one-on-one attention, tailored to their preferences. Whether it’s going out for a meal, enjoying a game, or simply having a chat, we make sure to cater to what suits each individual best.
We also had the pleasure of welcoming students who joined us for work experience in July. Their enthusiasm and support were a great asset to our activities team, and their presence was filled with smiles and laughter.
Our regular activities continued to keep everyone engaged, including parachute games, holiday home visits, basketball, baking, art and craft sessions, visits from Natalie our hairdresser, volleyball, birthday celebrations, flower arranging, gardening, exercise therapy, pet therapy, and reminiscing sessions.
This summary encapsulates the spirit of community and care that was evident throughout the month!
