More activities January ’25

January continued to offer a full and varied activity program, providing residents with a wide range of opportunities to participate and stay engaged. Our regular bus trips, which run 2-3 days a week from each home, remain a highlight of the program. These trips enable our residents to stay connected with the wider community. Additionally, one-to-one outings were also available for those who prefer a more personalised experience.
Notable events and celebrations throughout the month included:
Chinese New Year: Residents participated in Chinese-themed activities, including art and crafts, and had the opportunity to try a selection of Chinese foods. For some, a Chinese takeaway was arranged, allowing them to experience the full cultural celebration.
Winnie the Pooh Day: A delightful tea party was held to mark “Winnie the Pooh” day, where residents assisted in preparing honey sandwiches, adding a personal touch to the celebration.
Armchair Travel to France: Residents enjoyed an armchair travel experience to France. The day began with a continental breakfast and was followed by a cheese and wine tasting session later in the day, allowing them to explore French culture from the comfort of their home.
In addition to these special events, the program continued to include a variety of regular activities, such as: flower arranging, quizzes, reminiscence, pamper sessions, baking, puzzles, floor games, board games, bingo, creative writing, bus trips, science experiments, individual birthday celebrations and in house church services.
January proved to be a month full of engagement and enjoyment for residents, with a strong focus on social interaction, creativity, and hands-on involvement in various activities. We look forward to continuing this momentum throughout the year.
