Macmillan Fund Raiser in memory of our dear colleague Tim

What an amazing day and what a team! We raised an incredible £1231.55 for Macmillan Cancer Support. The day was arranged after we lost a dear colleague suddenly and we wanted to do something in his memory that felt positive and would have a lasting impact. So a charity day supporting Macmillan was decided by the team. Residents and the staff team all got involved. The wider community and family and friends were all welcomed on a rather grey, wet afternoon. The weather did not deter people from supporting this wonderful cause. The day consisted of car washing, face painting, glitter tattoos, tombola, Easter egg tombola, bbq of hot dogs and burgers, guess the weight of the cake, guess how many sweets in the jar, homemade cake stall, creative art table, visits from an icecream van, Peppa Pig, and a minion, a cheer leading display and a fabulous raffle with the most amazing prizes all donated by individuals and local businesses. Special thanks to all of the generous donations and huge thanks to the Coast Care team (led by Poppy)who all worked so hard to bring this special day together.
