Kids Messy Play ’24

Whitebeach hosted its second annual ‘Kids Messy Play’ event in our large garden, following the great success of last year’s gathering. This year’s event was even bigger and better, with an impressive 131 family members from the local community joining us for this wonderful intergenerational afternoon of fun.

The garden was transformed into a lively playground, with activities for all ages. Games, arts and crafts, bubble machines, water fishing, a dressing-up station, ball pits, sand pits, face painting, and a bouncy castle ensured there wasn’t a dull moment in sight. Laughter filled the air as children and families enjoyed a range of exciting activities, keeping everyone entertained throughout the afternoon.

To top it all off, a delicious picnic was provided for the children, complete with cookies and cakes, adding to the joy of the day.

The event was free of charge for everyone to enjoy, but for those who wished to contribute, we had a donation bucket to support the ‘Glow Baby Centre.’ This local centre regularly runs parent and child groups at all of our homes, and we were grateful for any donations made towards their valuable work and plans to improve their facilities.

Parents, children, residents, and staff all had a lovely afternoon, filled with smiles, laughter, and a sense of community. It was a fantastic opportunity to bring different generations together in a relaxed and fun environment, and we look forward to making next year’s event even more memorable.
