At Coast Care, we are committed to putting person centered care at the heart of our monthly activity planning. Our October activity planner reflected this offering personalised experiences that catered to the interests and needs of each resident.

For instance, we arranged a fishing outing for one of our fishing-loving residents, providing a peaceful morning by the lake with Ian. Other residents enjoyed one to one trips, whether it was a shopping excursion, a walk in the park, a visit to a historic railway, or lunch out. We also regularly attend a local Sunday service, and for those who cannot travel a church representatives comes to Coast Care for group and individual services, ensuring spiritual support for those who value it.

In addition, we provided sensory activities for residents who benefit from a more calming environment. These activities were held in small groups or individualised settings, creating the most comfortable experience for each person. Natalie, our regular hairdresser, also plays a key role in our resident-focused care, offering warm and personal services that bring familiarity and comfort to all residents.

Person centered activities will always be our priority in planning, as we continue to find meaningful and enjoyable ways to support each resident’s individual needs and preferences.
