Care at Home

We can help you to keep your home the way that you like it. This may mean that we can do household chores for you, or with you if you prefer. Bed making, hovering and cleaning tasks can become difficult but may be achievable with a helping hand. We can help you prepare meals or do your laundry, or if preferred we can take these tasks off your hands and do it for you. We also have a handy-person who can help with mending, gardening, clearing, changing lightbulbs, or general DIY jobs.

Let us know how much assistance you need and we will make a plan which gives you just what you want from us. We can go to the shops for you, or with you and you can choose if this is locally or further afield. Our care worker will take you in their car if you prefer.

Support

We can provide expert and professional assistance with care needs, such as helping you at the start of your day with bathing, making your breakfast, helping you to get dressed, or with medication. Or you may like help at the end of the day to get you comfortable and settled for the night.

If you are returning home after a stay in hospital, we will be there to lend a hand with your daily routine while you concentrate on getting better.

At Coast Care, we strongly believe that independence plays an enormous role in our feelings of wellbeing, and therefore will be a helping hand in most cases, enabling people to do as much as possible for themselves.

Wellbeing

This covers many aspects, anything that makes you feel good. Our clients often like to share an outing or activity with someone like-minded, eg watching sport, going to an art gallery, doing the crossword, reading correspondence or the newspaper, or gardening. For this reason, we like to know all about your interests and hobbies and how you like to spend your time – we can then aim to match careworker with similar interests.

If you are the carer of an older person, we can give you a well deserved break by taking over the care for any period of time. Our care workers have experience and training in caring for a person with dementia, so you can relax knowing that your loved one is in the safest of hands. We can arrange to share an activity with them at home or out and about, whilst you have some “me” time.
