More Activities February ’26
February was a month full of celebrations and activities. Residents enjoyed marking Chinese New Year, year of the horse, by making lanterns and tasting Chinese delicacies. A fun armchair travel session took everyone to Las Vegas for an afternoon of glitz and games. The Coast Care family also welcomed new babies, who visited with their parents to meet residents and colleagues.
Residents’ birthdays were celebrated with personalised days and homemade cakes, including a special themed day for an EastEnders fan. Regular activities continued throughout the month, including bus trips, flower arranging, arts and crafts, puzzles, reminiscing, shopping, church visits, baking, card making, and walks along the promenade. Residents also took part in shopping trips to buy ingredients for making pizzas.
Sensory sessions were held across the homes, providing calming and beneficial experiences for residents. In addition, several residents enjoyed individual, person-centred outings, including trips out for breakfast.
